I really do love my treadmill, especially during these months of crappy weather! Having a TV and DVD and eye height while I walk doesn't hurt either. ;-)
I got a cheapy from Sears (a ProForm Crosswalk 390), and it has 6 "trails", it inclines and declines, and I mostly walk, though I have jogged on it. It's very comfortable, and even has arm thingies if you are so inclined.
It was a big investment, but so far, it's paid off on keeping me "on track" during these dark months...
